Save the Date – Saturday, September 10, 2021 – from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Public Works Garage, 41 Fifth Avenue.

The following RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE items can be dropped off free of charge for proper disposal:

  • Adhesives such as glue or silicone
  • Aerosol cans such as spray paint and air fresheners
  • Antifreeze and containers in which they are contained
  • Corrosive, reactive  or poisonous chemicals such as household cleaners and polishes

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout will be closing all departments, except the Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, for a Professional Development Day.

This full-day closure will include the Municipal Office, Public Works, Hidden Lake Landfill, Fire Hall, and Recreation Centre (arena/gym/fitness rooms/etc). Fire services will remain on call to deal with emergencies.

Farlinger Park/Town Beach Open Once Again

Sioux Lookout, ON – After almost three years, residents and visitors to Sioux Lookout can once again enjoy summer days at the brand new Farlinger Park – also known as Town Beach.
