Sioux Lookout is committed to making its facilities, infrastructure and services accessible to people of all abilities. From recreation facilities, to curb cuts, to the Municipal staff you interact with when you pay your utility bills. We are working toward a barrier-free Sioux Lookout in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with a Disability Act (AODA), 2005, the Municipality’s Accessibility Plan and its Accessible Customer Service Policy.

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is also committed to ensuring a community that is accessible to all its citizens. We work hard to meet or exceed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities standards established by the Ontario government. Accessibility standards are the rules that businesses and organizations in Ontario will have to follow to identify, remove and prevent barriers to accessibility.
