Summer Traffic Disruptions on Highway 72/Wellington Street

We are rebuilding part of Wellington Street this summer! That means there will be some disruption in traffic flow.
 
The Wellington Street Roundabout project start date has been delayed until Monday, July 4th - but this MAY be delayed again, if water levels do not drop to below the design elevation of the stormwater infrastructure.
 
Also note that, to address safety concerns with high pedestrian volumes, the MTO will be starting work on a set of lights and a pedestrian crosswalk...

Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is preparing for some major clean-up efforts as the spring flood waters continue to recede.

Municipal Clerk, Brian P. MacKinnon, says, “there is a lot of work to be done around Sioux Lookout. Council recently appointed an Ad-Hoc Committee to oversee the updating of the Cedar Bay Development Plan. A main component of the redevelopment is engaging with community members to determine how revitalization to the Cedar Bay facilities could support the community.
