Sioux Lookout, ON – While the Province of Ontario’s stay-at-home order, issued April 16^th, continues until at least June 2^nd, changes announced yesterday will impact residents of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.

Please note that all Municipal buildings will remain closed to the public until step two of the Roadmap to Reopen takes effect. Although our doors remain closed, staff is working to ensure that essential Municipal services continue with minimal interruptions. Our phone lines...

Sioux Lookout, ON – Parents and kids have been clamoring for “normal” activities since the start of the pandemic last March. While provincial restrictions currently prohibit outdoor recreation, the Recreation and Culture Department is hopeful that those restrictions may ease in the coming weeks.

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout would like to remind all users that permits are required to park, launch a boat, or fish from the dock at any of the boat launch locations. These include:

CN Police Want to Raise Awareness About Safe Behaviour Near  Railway Property

CN Police officers are spreading a rail safety message in Sioux Lookout. Last year in North America, there were over 3,400 collisions with trains, resulting in over 2,200 serious injuries or fatalities. Rail safety is a core value at CN, and CN Police want to be a part of the effort to minimize the risk of accidents related to the act of trespassing on railway property.
