R029-2025 Sector-Based Housing Needs Assessment
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout (the “Municipality”) proposes to engage the services of a consulting firm to help assess current and future housing needs in Sioux Lookout with a focused lens on key workforce sectors—health, social services, aviation, service and accommodations, and trades—and to provide actionable strategies and development concepts for addressing housing shortages, including feasibility and cost analysis for 1–2 municipally owned sites.
The project will begin following confirmation of funding from the Rural Ontario Development Fund, with an anticipated start date in January 2026. Specific milestone dates for each component of the study will be finalized in collaboration with the successful consultant prior to project initiation.

Q027-2025 Visitor Study
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is seeking proposals for the completion of a Visitor Study to support the Municipality’s 2026 Business Gap Analysis. This study will provide critical insight into Sioux Lookout’s visitor activity, trade area, and spending patterns.
