Information Session - Monday, April 20, 2026

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is hosting a Municipal Council and School Boards Candidate, and Third-Party Advertiser Information Session on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sioux Lookout Recreation Centre, 85 King Street for interested candidates to receive information about running in the 2026 Municipal and School Boards Elections or to be a Third-Party Advertiser.

The Session will include a Presentation by Brian P. MacKinnon, CAO and Municipal Clerk, and a representative from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Pre-registration is required.

Every four years, municipal elections are held in Ontario. The next municipal election takes place in 2026. In Sioux Lookout, we elect a Mayor and six (6) Councillors to direct the CAO and guide The Corporation of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout into the future.
