A reminder that NWI begins their annual spring hydrant and water line flushing around Sioux Lookout on Monday, May 4th. Work will run from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily and continue until the process is finished. Usually one to two weeks.
During the flushing process you may notice periods of low water pressure or water discolouration (murky or brown) from sediments knocked loose by the flushing process. If your water is discoloured, do not run hot water. Turn on your cold taps and let the water run until it is clear again.
Your water remains safe to drink during the flushing process.
