The Municipality of Sioux Lookout wishes to advise voters that Sioux Lookout Hydro has scheduled a power interruption on Sunday, October 25th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to allow Hydro One to perform maintenance on the K3D transmission line that supplies power to Sioux Lookout.
Voting in the Municipal Election is being conducted online or by telephone from October 19th through October 26th at 8:00 p.m. As a result, there will be no impact on voting during the scheduled power interruption.
Voters who wish to cast their ballot during the outage may still be able to vote using cellular data on their mobile device or by telephone. Alternatively, voters may choose to vote before the outage begins or wait until power has been restored.
The Municipality encourages all eligible voters to plan accordingly and cast their ballot at a time that is most convenient for them during the voting period.
