Starting Friday May 15, 2026, Hidden Lake Landfill will be returning to summer hours of operation.
Extended hours Fridays - 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Extended hours Saturdays – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
NWI will be flushing hydrant and water lines throughout Sioux Lookout starting May 4th. Work will run from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily until the process is finished. You may notice periods of low water pressure or water discolouration during the flushing process. If your water is discoloured, do not run hot water. Turn on your cold taps and let the water run until it is clear again. Your water remains safe to drink.
The E-Waste bin at the landfill is currently full, and unfortunately, we are unable to accept any new E-Waste at this time. A new container has been requested and we expect it to be delivered sometime next week.

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout will be implementing reduced load restrictions on all municipal rural and urban roads, streets and avenues, with the exception of specific arterial and collector routes, starting Monday, March 23, 2026.
