Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is excited to announce the launch of the Experience Sioux Lookout Card, a dynamic summer tourism initiative designed to drive economic growth and celebrate the community’s vibrant business sector.

Running from July 1 through September 30, the program encourages both seasonal visitors and residents to explore, shop, and dine across the Municipality.

The Experience Card connects local accommodations directly with retail and dining sectors. Tourists will receive their Experience Cards at check-in from participating local lodges, hotels, motels, and hostels. As they explore Sioux Lookout, visitors will collect official stamps or signatures from local merchants. Completed cards will be collected at checkout and entered in monthly prize draws at the end of July, August, and September. Each draw will give participants a chance to win gift cards from local businesses.

"Our goal is to make it easier than ever for visitors and residents to discover the incredible retail shops, markets, and restaurants that make Sioux Lookout unique," said Mayor Doug Lawrance. "This program provides a seamless way for our accommodation operators and merchants to collaborate, driving direct traffic to our business storefronts with zero extra paperwork for the owners."

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is currently inviting local businesses – including restaurants, cafes, retail shops, gift stores and farmers’ markets – to register for the program. Participation is free, and the Municipality will provide all necessary stamps, stickers and marketing promotional kits. Businesses interested in participating or learning more about the program are encouraged to reach out before the July 1 launch date.
