Community Living Month Proclamation

WHEREAS: Community Living Dryden- Sioux Lookout has worked to bring people and their communities together for over 60 years; and

WHEREAS: Community Living Dryden-Sioux Lookout supports people as they develop their capacity to live, learn, work and participate in all aspects of living in the community; and

WHEREAS: Community Living Dryden-Sioux Lookout helps the community develop its capacity to welcome and support people who have not always had the same opportunities as the rest of us, to participate in their community in meaningful and productive ways; and

WHEREAS: the Council of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout wishes to urge its citizens to celebrate inclusion in our community of people who have a developmental disability.

NOW THEREFORE: I, Doug Lawrance, Mayor of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, do hereby proclaim May as Community Living Month in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.
