What are we looking for?
- Post secondary education in GIS, Geomatics, or a related field
- Experience using Esri, ArcGIS, or similar mapping software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to interpret maps, drawings, and spatial data
- Effective communicator who can explain technical information to non-technical parties
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks or requests at once
What will you be doing?
- Creating, maintaining, and updating digital maps
- Supporting departments with spatial data analysis and custom map requests
- Maintaining GIS databases and linking them with asset or property data
- Assisting with GPS-cased tracking tools (e.g. fleet)
- Helping train staff to use GIS tools and troubleshoot related issues
- Contributing to asset management and infrastructure planning using GIS data
Hours and Salary
- 37.5 hours per week at $46.98 per hour
