The Municipality is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Machine Operator to support our Public Works team on an as-needed basis. This role assists with equipment operation and general maintenance tasks to help keep our community running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Operating municipal equipment year-round for road, sidewalk, and drainage maintenance
- Performing snow and ice control, including plowing, sanding, and shoveling
- Complete daily inspections
- Assisting with landfill, utility, and cemetery operations as needed
- Conducting daily equipment inspections and minor repairs
- Responding to emergencies, on-call shifts, and changing weather conditions
What You Bring
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a good driving record, required
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, and plows
- Knowledge of road repair, snow removal, and general maintenance work
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Dependable team player with good communication skills
