We’re looking for a motivated Records Management Clerk who is passionate about organization, accuracy, and making information easy to find. If you love bringing order to complexity and want your work to support efficient, effective municipal service, this is may be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the municipal records management system
- Sorting, classifying, indexing, and organizing electronic and physical records
- Digitizing documents through scanning and indexing, quality checks, and accurate indexing
- Assisting with retention schedules, disposal processes, and compliance audits
- Locating, retrieving, and archiving records for internal departments
- Preparing records for secure storage or destruction under approved policies
- Assisting with FOI-related records searches
- Maintaining accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all records
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Records and Information Management, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in records management or clerical work (municipal experience an asset)
- Knowledge of records management principles and related legislation
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records systems
- Ability to adapt, prioritize tasks, and work independently
