Kenora District Service Board

The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) offers services including social housing, land ambulance, the Ontario Works program and children's programs.

Their Housing Services help match people with housing in the Kenora District where the tenant pays reduced rental costs geared towards their own income level.

In Sioux Lookout and Hudson, KDSB manages about 60 units including almost 40 senior’s units. These units are generally 100% full with vacant units filled from a waiting list that you can apply to.

How to apply for geared-to-income housing

You can apply in person at their office or through an online form on the KDSB website. Their two types of housing services applications are for Single, Family and Couples or for Seniors. The KDSB website includes details about eligibility for geared-to-income housing and the Affordable Housing Initiative as well as FAQs and information on KDSB's other services.
