What is Economic Development?
Economic development is the effort that seeks to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community by creating and retaining jobs and supporting or growing incomes.
The Sioux Lookout Economic Development Department works with local business owners and entreprenuers to further develop retail opportunities in the community. The Department is involved in initiatives that promote tourism, land development, and job creation.

The Economic Development Manager for the Corporation of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, Vicki Blanchard is located on the lower level in the Municipal Office building located at 25 Fifth Avenue.
