Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout has entered into an agreement with the Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) wherein the KDSB will assume responsibility for the two Municipally-run Child Care centres, namely, Biidaaban and Sioux Mountain, effective January 1, 2022.

Sioux Lookout, ON – The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry has lifted the Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ) that has been in effect across the Sioux Lookout District since June 30 th .
While outdoor fires are once again allowed within the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, the RFZ remains in effect throughout the Dryden, Kenora, Fort Frances, Rainy River, Ignace, and Atikokan regions.
