2021 Burning Permits Available Now

BURNING PERMITS FOR RESIDENTS OF SIOUX LOOKOUT, HUDSON, AND ALCONA

All residents burning brush and grass between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 are required to purchase an annual “Open Air Burning Permit” for $10.00. 

All residents who have an incinerator must purchase an “Annual Incinerator Permit” for $10.00.  This permit is valid for one year beginning April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

Any resident who does not have a Permit for burning will be subject to a fine as set out in By-Law...

NWHU Notice - COVID-19 Variants of Concern Found in the Area

The Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) has released information about positive tests for COVID-19 variants of concern in the region.

All positive COVID-19 tests are currently screened for variants of concern, such as the UK variant.

The NWHU's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kit Young Hoon, emphasizes the need for individuals and their household members to self-isolate immediately when someone has a symptom of COVID-19. Variants of concern can spread incredibly fast.

  • Open to Ages 10 and up. 
  • One Person allowed in the gym shooting at once.  The ONLY exception to this is that two people can participate together provided they reside in the same household.  Only one basket will be used (Front Desk Staff will designate).
