Responsible for the planning, development, and maintenance of all Municipal roads including sidewalks, curbs, storm sewers, traffic signage, litter pickup, ditches and winter control. Also responsible for maintenance of three bridges - Pelican River Bridge, Vermilion River Bridge and By-Pass Bridge, for administration and maintenance of Sacred Heart, Northway and Hillcrest Cemeteries, and for the installation and removal of the Town dock. Provides labour and equipment to other departments as Roads Department workloads permit.

Water Treatment PlantResponsible for production and distribution of potable water in Airport, Hudson and Sioux Lookout, collection and treatment of waste water in Sioux Lookout, and the disposal of solid waste within the Town/Rural Municipality. All services provided on a cost recovery basis. Actual new installations, maintenance, and repairs are done by Sioux Hydro on a contract basis.
