What is the Department of Development Services?
The department was created in the Fall of 2005 in an effort to Streamline the process involved with all new Development that occurs within the Municipality.
The concept of the Department of Development Services was to provide Developers 'One-Stop Shopping', where projects are facilitated under the guidance of the Manager of the Department. This provides the Developer with a single-point contact, thereby easing the overall approvals process. Internally, Cross-Functional Teams collaborate on project specific requirements and review processes.
The Department is comprised of several Functional Divisions
