Municipality of Sioux Lookout

Municipal Council is comprised of seven elected officials, one Mayor and six Councillors. The Mayor and four Councillors are elected at large. One Councillor is elected in Ward 1 (Hudson) and one Councillor is elected in Ward 2 (Sioux Lookout).

Term of Office for Council is four years.

The Deputy Mayor is appointed from the elected Councillors. The current process is to rotate the Deputy Mayor position amongst the elected Councillors, with each person acting as Deputy Mayor for one year.
