Municipality of Sioux Lookout

PURPOSE

To ensure an adequate supply of potable water is available to both existing and new users on the south-east section of Sioux Lookout town site.

To ensure sufficient water flows to fire hydrants.

To improve surface drainage of the York Street area.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Replacement of 971 metres of critically undersized and 70 plus year old water main.

Replacement of 335 metres of 70 plus year old sewer main.

Establish roadside drainage swales.

Rehabilitation of road over newly installed infrastructure.

FUNDING

$1,622,082 - Water main 100% funded by Ontario Municipal Infrastructure Investment Initiative - Roadway partially funded from Road Reserves

STATUS

Completed and in Operation - Currently in Warranty Period
