Financial Information Return (FIR)
The Financial Information Return (FIR) is the main data collecting tool used by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to collect the financial and statistical information on Municipalities in Ontario. The FIR is comprised of a number of Schedules which are updated each year as prescribed by legislation and can be used to compare Municipalities based on specific criteria.
