The Sioux Lookout Bulletin

The Sioux Lookout Bulletin
Sioux Lookout's Weekly Newspaper

Welcome to Sioux Lookout!  There's a lot of information on the Municipality's website about Sioux Lookout, so we'll proceed to tell you about The Sioux Lookout Bulletin and what information we can provide to help you make the decision to move to Sioux Lookout or, if you're already here, to help make the transition to your new community easier.

The Sioux Lookout Bulletin, first published in 1991, is a unique weekly paper that features news, sports, and community event stories, in addition to advertisements from local and regional businesses and organizations.  The Bulletin has a press run of 4,500 copies distributed to our audience in Sioux Lookout and to an additional 28,000 people in 19 northern First Nation communities (via Wasaya Airways).  In addition, our website receives approximately 7,500 page views weekly.

The entire paper is online at www.siouxbulletin.com so if you want to know what kind of community Sioux Lookout is and what there is to do here, just check out the current issue, and past issues in the "archives."

If you want to make sure you have a place to live and you want to find out what jobs are available, our website can help.  In addition to an extensive listing of jobs on the "Want Ads" page and ads from our local realtors on our "Community Advertisements" page, The Bulletin also includes a "Classified Ad" section where you'll also find jobs and apartments and houses to rent or buy.

The paper also contains a "Service Directory" showcasing certain businesses and services, plus we offer free to non-profit groups an extensive "Area Services Directory."  Both of these features will give you an idea of what businesses and services are available in Sioux Lookout.

Most people like to see pictures of the community to which they are considering moving.  The Bulletin does not disappoint in this regard.  The paper includes a lot of pictures related to stories and events happening in Sioux Lookout.  In addition, a highlight of the website is a live web cam that looks out over Pelican Lake - you can see what the weather is like on any given day!

If you still need convincing that The Bulletin can help you, here's a testimonial from Tammy Williamson who moved to Sioux Lookout from Fort McMurray, Alberta, in November of 2016:

"When my boyfriend and I decided to move to Sioux Lookout, The Bulletin's website was the first place we looked. We wanted to learn about the community we'd be joining and search for an employment opportunity for me.  We weren't disappointed! We read about events that were taking place, learned about the businesses in town, and saw some amazing pictures of the area. I also landed a great job in no time because of the extensive Want Ads section. The Bulletin is a great resource."

The Sioux Lookout Bulletin is an excellent source of information to help you make a decision or smooth the transition to a new community.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance - 807-737-3209 or office@siouxbulletin.com.  When you're in town, come see us at 40 Front Street.  We look forward to meeting you! Welcome to Sioux Lookout!!!
